Isn’t it a tough choice when you are asked to choose between a burger and a samosa, both are favorite snacks of an Indian. It would be tough for you to decide, but some reports and studies might help you the next time when it comes to making a healthy choice out of both.
According to a report by the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) released, a samosa is healthier than a burger. Why? Well, because it’s made from fresh ingredients, unlike a burger.
Obviously, both the food is junk and none is healthy but, if compared, Samosa is THE BEST! Prepared from a fresh dough which potatoes, fried in the kadai with the yummy chutney is any day better than a burger which has antioxidants, preservatives, and acidity regulators.
CSE, while filling this report also did a survey ‘Know Your Diet’ between September 2016 – March 2017 of over 13,000 children aging from 9-17 years from 15 different states of our country. The research concluded an increase in the consumption of packaged food high in fat salt and sugar, which increases with age.
