Apart from tourism, there is another reason to be proud of the Pink City. Want to know? Since Jaipur has succeeded in bringing down stray dog population and dog bite cases in the last 10 years, India’s first planned city Chandigarh is now looking at the Pink City to get tips on managing stray dogs. Chandigarh Mayor Asha Kumari Jaswal said,”experts from Jaipur and other places will share their views and throw light on how the stray dog problem can be effectively tackled”.

Apparently, Jaipur was one of the first cities to start an animal birth control program, based on WHO guidelines, back in 1994.
