The authorities involved have announced an exgratia payment of Rs 2.5 lakhs per person for the deceased’s family and Rs 1 lakh for the injured with their total medical needs. They have also constituted a committee to inquire about scaffolding failure. They believe it was a machine failure and not negligence.
